One of the nation’s foremost ocean-inspired artists, Wade began painting at six and surfing at twelve. The fusion of these lifelong passions has earned him international acclaim for his breathtaking oil paintings of tropical landscapes. His work is celebrated in galleries across the United States and abroad, cherished for its ability to channel the tranquility, beauty, and vibrant energy of the ocean.

Wade’s signature works have graced films, television shows, and prestigious events like North Shore Oahu’s Vans Triple Crown. He has created custom art for brands like ROXY and designed surfboards that adorn Billabong stores nationwide. His contributions extend to institutions such as the Hawaii Visitors and Tourism Bureau and the Duke Kahanamoku Foundation. Wade is a generous supporter of the California Surf Museum, the International Surf Museum, and the Surfing Heritage Foundation.

Beyond the gallery, Wade shares his passion through teaching. His immersive painting retreats in exotic locales are beloved by aspiring and seasoned artists alike, offering a rare opportunity to learn from a master while surrounded by the landscapes that inspire his work.

Before dedicating himself fully to painting in 2004, Wade enjoyed a distinguished career in advertising. Over two decades, he created campaigns for Fortune 500 brands such as Taco Bell, Reebok, McDonald’s, Microsoft, IBM, and Quiksilver. In 1995, he founded Big Bang, an award-winning ad agency with offices in San Diego and Seattle. After earning over 300 creative awards, Wade returned to his true calling: creating art that resonates with the soul.
